We recently received this photo and update from Heritage Children's Centre - "Hi friends, 20 of our children are writing their Primary Leaving Examinations today. We thank God for your support and trust God for their success".
At The Uganda Project we are privileged to support over 200 disadvantaged children who would otherwise not have had the opportunity to go to school. Almost 70% of children in Uganda are likely to drop out of school before completing the seven years of primary education, largely because families living in poverty are unable to afford costs such as uniforms, exercise books and school lunches (1).
It is a great achievement that these children have been able to come this far in their education, and The Uganda Project will continue to support them into their secondary education. We wish them all the very best in their exam results!
