Gabriel grew up in war-torn South Sudan where he experienced a traumatic childhood, being forced to fight as a child soldier. After his parents passed away, he came to Heritage House Uganda through his uncle's connection with Pastor Moses Katende, where he started a new life.
Sharon was abandoned on the streets and had no one to care for her. One day she was found by Pastor Moses Katende outside his church, and from that moment her life changed.
Lucy never knew her parents, and was raised by her grandmother who struggled to provide for her. Lucy worked for a neighbour as a home labourer from a young age and never had the opportunity to go to school or to learn English. Then everything changed when she came to Heritage House Uganda.
Moses' parents abandoned him when he was a baby, and he went to live with relatives who were living in poverty and unable to care for him properly. Life was a daily struggle until he came to Heritage House Uganda and was given a new hope for the future.
Heritage Christian High School has been officially launched for four weeks! It has been off to an amazing start, with classes set up for all of our 40 secondary students.
Exciting plans are underway to start a secondary school with a vocational skills program called Heritage Christian High School.
The children had a great day out celebrating Christmas Day. Each year at Christmas, the children attend church and later spend the day enjoying some Christmas activities and games.
